Fairview Cemetery is on Thompson St in northwest Clarksville. It's the largest cemetery in Red River County. Fairview can easily be seen from US-82 Business (Main St) & TX-37 Business (Capt Henry Stout Hwy). Tasteful monument style marquee announcing cemetery name on Thompson St. No perimeter fence except from neighbors. Gravel thru roads, plot/headstone arrangement are attractive, well planned & skillfully tended. Grounds are well mowed-n-trimmed, though maybe infrequently. Most markers in respectable shape, many w/flowers. Evidence of new burials.n☨ The oldest marked burial is - David C. Russell - September 1870.n☨ Fairview Cemetery is 27 miles by road & 23.7 miles as the crow flies from a cemetery of the same name in Franklin County, Texas.n☨ According to Find•A•Grave there are 2,924 graves here.
