LOVE THIS Cemetery. All my mom's family are laid to rest here. When I was small my sister and I played here. When my grandparents past I felt like we were all home.This place brings me Peace.
Clarksville Cemetery is 2 blocks south of US-82 Business (Main St), It's bound on the west & east by S College & Grove Streets. Ranch-style welded entry name-gate on W Washington & open entry in back (W Taylor St) w/ cool, residential-style wrought iron fence round entire perimeter. Clarksville Cemetery is well kept - the concrete drives, perimeter fence, ancient oaks, grounds, & most markers show frequent care. Many larger ornate monuments here than elsewhere in Red River County.n† At the entrance there's a Texas Historical Commission Marker.n† 2 famous memorials • Albert Hamilton Latimer 1808–1877 • Texas Patriot.
