I could not ask for a better place to put my family in! My Mother had Alzheimer’s and I have a special need brother! They were put in Homestead in 2005! My mother and brother loved the nurses and aides that were theirs at the time and they took great care of my family! They loved the activities! The therapy is wonderful! I lost my mother in 2009 but my brother is still there going on 15 yrs, he calls it his Home! The nurses treat him like family they care for him! Sure there has been issues that has arose but a lot of that my brother created. We talked to the nurses and the issues were resolved. The staff has always been friendly and have always taken care of whatever I needed done! People grow up! There are always issues with people! There are issues in any workplace and yes including churches! My brother will remain there until he’s gone to be with Jesus!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This is the worst nursing home. I am appalled at the care and conditions. Do not take your loved one here. The lack of care they gave my loved one is disgraceful. They didn't feed or keep them clean. PLEASE find any other location possible.

I have been working with nursing homes for over 48 years, this is one of the better ones. Friendly staff and resident oriented. Nursing knowledge of residents thorough. CoVid free at this time and all precautions in place. Disregard the Medicare Star rating, it is not reflective of caring staff.

From the very first interaction with staff at this facility, it was obvious they were going to take good care of my mother, a 92 year old with dementia. Every person I dealt with along the way was exceptional. The staff is kind, respectful, friendly and capable. The Admissions Director, Business Office, Nurses, and OT's with whom I have spoken and visited with have made me feel at peace with my mother's care in her new home. Each time I have visited (while modified due to COVID-19 restrictions), has found my mother happy and looking better than before she was admitted. I cannot say enough positive things about this facility and staff. I did a lot of research before deciding to let them care for my mother and I am extremely happy with my decision. I have no qualms about recommending this facility to anyone looking for a safe place for a loved one to receive care for any reason.

I thought the homestead of Denison was a good place to put my mom for therapy I made the biggest mistake putting her there when you call to check on my mom They put you through to the nurses station no one ever answer and if you leave a voice mail they never return your call Not a good place for the elderly
