Took a demo in a R-44 yesterday. Arrived 30 min early and was greeted by Tim, who would also be my pilot/CFI. He was patient, encouraging, and I felt safe knowing I was in good/knowledgeable hands. He allowed me to take controls several times and I never sensed that it made him nervous, he encouraged it and wanted me to actually get a feel for all of it. Just what I needed in a situation that’s completely new and unknown to me. Connie was also amazing, the backbone of the whole organization. A realist and straight shooter, which I appreciate. There were no gray areas, she sets the expectation and I’m thankful. She cares about people and safety, not merely making a dime. Excellent experience all together.
Learning to fly helicopter at Sky Helicopters has been great. Patient and kind CFIs treat you like a customer, but keep you safe and learning. :) I would definitely recommend.
If this is your first time in a helicopter give this location a go! My friend and I had a blast here and our pilot was awesome! Definitely worth it!
Great first flight!
Such an awesome experience! I bought a 30 minute discovery flight for my boyfriend's birthday. Great facility, well maintained aircraft, and friendly employees that went above and beyond! The flight instructors were very professional and kept the whole experience fun. Connie was super helpful and was such a lovely person to talk to while my boyfriend was flying. 10/10 would recommend. We will definitely be returning!
