I am so pleased with our transition to North Garland Montessori School.nAs a parent, deciding on a daycare is a difficult choice. North Garland Montessori School appears to be the whole package so far. I am glad to write a review on what we have observed after over a month now.nnThe number one priority is always that he is in a safe and structured place where his needs are met. The first indicators are how he enters and leaves the building, as well as his mood on the car ride and at home. I give an A + in each of these categories. In particular, my son comes home every day with a greater sense of equanimity, he is still motivated to practice tasks, and he picks up even faster on routines and patterns. We overheard a staff member mention that he is known as the “smiley baby”, which is a very encouraging nickname. It gives us peace of mind that HE has peace of mind.nnThe second priority for us was mental stimulation. We want our son engaged and productive. We are very satisfied in this regard. He clearly relishes the activities at daycare because he comes home with a noticeably improved level of focus and motivation in self directed tasks. He pleasantly goes straight to his upstairs table “work station” to continue practicing building with blocks and making drawings…he is not even two yet, so I am eager to see what advancements the next year may hold. We are thankful that every single day he has tasks at daycare, and they are good about keeping us up to date on his progress. We can receive his completed works and reports. While some parents may ask “Why so much so young?”…to this I reply, children are sponges and keeping them productive is better than the alternative. He ENJOYS creating, matching, and ordering things at daycare and at home.nnLastly, we feel that the people at North Garland Montessori School are our partners. Our son is capable of wearing a mask in public for extended amounts of time without signs of discomfort or reluctance. He even grabs and attempts to put it on. He is being taught to take smaller bites at the table. They are helping to potty train him. We even discuss his diet with them, language learning, etc. It is encouraging to us as parents that our daycare is taking our son’s growth and development seriously. It takes a community.nnIn sum, North Garland Montessori School’s longevity in the business is due to their proven ability to work wonders in child development. Our son is safe, satisfied, and the signs of growth in terms of ability and development are thus far remarkable. His motivation and curiosity are stronger since starting here. Be prepared to partner with a team that prioritizes true development the “Montessori way”. They will do their best to fully engage your child and partner with you to this end.nn5/5 stars from me so far!n-Stephen
We love North Garland Montessori. My daughter isn’t 2 yet and can count to ten, say please and thank you. She also asks politely for things she wants. I have noticed she is much happier here.nWe had to put her in a daycare for spring break week and she would cry a lot as well as throw tantrums after. The caretaker said she hardly talked the whole week. I’m assuming from the unstructured chaos of their day. I truly value the calmness of North Garland and the amount of individual attention she gets so that she is able to grow and learn on her own. Our daughter is also naturally independent and hard headed. It’s amazing watching that be directed into a positive thing. Excited to get her back in school Monday.nnUpdate: My daughter has been going to North Garland Montessori now for over 2 years. We love this school and the care and attention that her teachers provide. She has a really big personality and they are patient enough to work with her to talk when called upon and sometimes in front of people. this means a lot to me because I missed out on most of my childhood being a shy kid. She’s always excited to go school especially on show & tell days.nnWhen businesses started opening back up everyone was scared to put their children in school. They haven’t had to close for one outbreak since opening 9 months ago due to the cleanliness of the facility.nWhen she was in daycare she brought home every illness floating around an I was sick literally every month. We have not had to worry about getting sick ever. We love the curriculum as it’s very well rounded, and most importantly my daughter genuinely loves learning!
We LOVES NGMS and we are so thankful for all the teachers and staff there. THE most important thing I wanted for my children was for them to be in a welcoming, happy, and loving environment every day. When you walk in the door every single morning, you are greeted by a smiling teacher or staffer. NGMS has been such an amazing school for my child. She has learned so much in the time being there. The teachers and staff here are amazing and communicate great with the parents. I am happy that we chose NGMS for our child to attend and can't wait to see what the future brings. We are so blessed to be a part of NGMS and truly appreciate everyone there. I would recommend NGMS without hesitation to anyone looking for a school for their kids!
My little 4 yrs old daughter has been enrolled in this school for two months now and I believe it is a great school. The staff and owner are very friendly . not only staff but the students as well, my daughter she is enjoy to go to school everyday and the most important thing she is happy.nthank you NGMS...
By far the best early education at an affordable price. Since enrollment there has been noticeable improvement in overall behavior, patience, accountability, and learning. We read the reviews and visited the school prior to enrolling and was reluctant to proceed however proceeding with enrollment is one of the best decision we’ve made!
