With all the time to watch movies at home right now, I watched Twister yesterday with my 6 yr old grandson. When the credits were running I noticed Sean Whalen was in the cast and the location casting was done by Ricki Maslar. I'm writing this because I have been to 2 Ricki Maslar workshops and one with Sean Whalen at the Actor's School. Many thanks to Alan Dysert and his desire and dedication to expose his students to many different techniques and perspectives from casting directors, producers, directors and working actors in the hopes they will hear something that helps them in their pursuit of a career in the entertainment industry. Check out the website for a complete list of guest contributors. And I want to add that Alan's direction in our weekly classes has never failed me. My takes are always better after his input.

I have had the privilege of attending Alan's classes for over 8 years. He is extremely knowledgeable on every aspect of the business and is passionate about seeing all of his students reach their dreams. He has relationships with top casting directors, producers, directors, comedians and acting coaches from LA, all of whom he brings in on a regular basis to teach classes. The training from these industry professionals is irreplaceable and I am amazed by their willingness and enthusiasm to pour into the students. I truly feel championed in my craft and I walk away from every class with more knowledge and experience that I am then able to apply when I am on set. I am thankful for Alan and the Actor's School in helping me achieve my dreams!

The Actor's School is a wonderful place for judgment-free artistic exploration. Whether you intend to pursue acting as a profession, want to become a better public speaker, or just want to try something different, Alan Dysert creates a welcoming environment for everyone, from novice to experienced, regardless of background. Because of Alan and the great guest teachers that he brings in, I have found a great deal of confidence in attending classes and workshops here, knowing that I will sharpen my existing skills, gain new knowledge, and inevitably make new connections every time. Alan helps his students fortify their strengths and overcome their weaknesses, always with a positive approach, to bring out the best in each student. He is a wealth of knowledge in both the craft and the business of acting, and he generously shares this knowledge with his students. Alan brings real-world experience that is enriching and enlightening, and a spirit and wisdom that is uplifting and encouraging.

The Actor's School is a great place to push yourself and grow as an actor. Alan creates an environment that encourages you to be fearless and creative in your choices while also playing to your strengths and improving weaknesses. He also gives you great insight to the business side of acting and has a plethora of great stories and information to help motivate you and get your career going in the right direction. Let's not forget the awesome workshops provided through the school which helps you get exposure to the industry. An amazing school, coach, and experience. Easily the best decision I've made as an actor!
