I have known Mr. Stephens for over 20 years and have observed and worked closely along side him during of that time. He is highly regarded by his peers and his clients. This is from a friend who has been a client of Mr. Stephens since 2012: David has been doing bankruptcies for 15 years and is very knowledgeable and efficient in handling an apparently overwhelming number of cases. Yes, he and his secretary are always in a hurry because time is limited and lots of people need help. Having to file bankruptcy is not an easy thing to do. I do not recommend it unless it is is a very last resort. Going through the process, you will feel stressed and humiliated and it doesn’t necessarily go away until the bankruptcy is discharged in 3 to 5 years. (But it does get easier.) Being on a strict budget for 3 to 5 years is also stressful because we are unaccustomed to budgeting and using our resources wisely or because we are in a situation where we have made financial mistakes and are having to deal with the consequences. David and Teresa are experts at what they do and they will give you empathy and understanding; however, because they are always under time deadlines, they must move us clients along in order to use their and our time wisely. They are always truthful, but you need to be aware that we are upset and stressed because of our financial situation, so we don’t always listen, hear, and receive what is being said accurately. Please keep in mind that it is usually only people who are unhappy with their situation who are the ones who tend to blame the professionals that are trying to help them. You may also want to consider the intellectual capabilities of someone that cannot spell a five letter word especially if they do not give you a good reason for trying to damage someone’s reputation.

He is extremely knowledgeable and made the process a painless and shame free experience. I would highly recommend his services.
