I paid great money to hire a lawyer and fight a custody battle to prevent my ex who was on drugs from getting more visitation with my daughter who is only 18 months old.nnOn the day of court JOE LEE REGISTER ( or however you may spell it) stood up at the start of the hearing and said that he knew my ex’s father and had done business with him several times over the last few years but that their business relationship wasn’t going to affect his ruling in the case...i was shocked and stunned that he didn’t recluse himself from the case! Needless to say I was too scared to speak up and the case went right on ahead...my ex ended up with extended visitation and two weeks during the summer and JOE LEE REGISTER dropped the alcohol restrictions even though I had a eye witness that testified that he was drinking while in possession of my Daughter...he can say what he wants but he knew my ex’s father and he was biased in his choice because absolutely no father gets extended with a 18 month old child it’s under the Texas family code that under 3 years old should be limited visitation as it is...I’m shocked and appalled that I have a clean background, drug test and past but yet he still got this....it’s because the judge was biased on this case and quiet frankly it’s against the law to judge a case where you have done business with one of the party’s families....Angelina county should be ashamed!
