We started this process in the fall and received the same advice from every agent we spoke with. We received a letter saying we simply needed to bring in the evidence of national health plan coverage. We did so and were served by a gentleman at the office who was uninformed and claimed to be unable to deal with the issue. He was absolutely wrong, was uncaring and downright sarcastic. He made sure the final decision was not in our favour and made the wrong decision which he then communicated to us by phone, again very sarcastic and uncaring. In the end I had to find the relevant regulations online and brought the items to his supervisor who acknowledged his mistake and corrected it. After six months of no Part B Coverage we received retroactive eligibility. Unfortunately one has only six months to apply for a Medicare supplement plan with guaranteed acceptance so we have been unable to get Medicare Supplement coverage for him .

They kept transferring the phone call from one person to the next. They lost original certified documents and tried to lie about it. Now they expect my family to pay for a certified copy and mail said documents again.

Even when I've had to wait, the guards have usually been pretty engaging (and/or downright entertaining) which has helped the time pass pretty quickly. Always clean bathrooms and waiting area. Only complaint would be once you get back, the counters are way high while the seats are low so you sit very awkwardly the entire visit (unless you refuse to do so and just stand, as I now do). Intimidation tactic? Discuss. ud83dude0f

Went to get my name changed on my social security card and ended up being served by a short fused woman. She couldn't give me a straight forward answer to my question so she went and got her supervisor and made it look like a dramatic scene. The supervisor wasn't much help either because everything she knew was second hand from the first woman. I get this is a hard job, but the communication skills are greatly lacking.

First person I spoke to was over the phone in June, she wasn’t a Sioux Falls Representative & got my address wrong so I didn’t get what I needed by mail. In July I corrected my address but never got my my phone appointment that was suppose to happen to file my claim. I then went to the office in person with Todd and was re-directed to make an appointment in person or by phone after copies were taken of all my documents. In August over the phone I was told everything got submitted already nothing else was needed just pending information from other dependents. I got no confirmation in the mail and nothing was sent to me in Sept or October. After hour long waits I finally reach the office and they tell me my claim was closed because it was never fully submitted. Now I have to redo the whole process. Very frustrating when it’s the same person I spoke to in person at the office and over the phone. He doesn’t have any records of me going down there or the over the phone conversations. There no apologies just long pauses and giggles in the background.
