Called to have a final inspection of a tankless hot water heater that was installed by YCNGA. They will give you an appointment for a day but will not provide a window when the inspector will be at your house. So this means the person will show up sometime between 8am - 4pm. If you are not home when they arrive, you will be charged $50. Supposedly you can call the inspector the morning of the appointment to get a time slot but good luck having him call you back. Essentially you have to take a full day of vacation and wait in your house for someone to hopefully show up. Right now we have YCNGA and York County Planning & Development are having a feud on proper installation specs for a tankless hot water heater and we are in the middle wasting a lot of time as these two bureaucracies try to get their acts together. Frustrating!

I suggest if you have concerns over a permit or any intermediate request, email. Do not call or you will get sent to a voicemail with no response and yelled at by coordinators and customer service staff. This office is very unprofessional and makes me embarrassed to be citizen of York County.
