Smith Dental Care

I had a toothache that was causing a lot of pain. My dental office is not open on the weekends. So I was very grateful to find an office that is open. Everyone was very nice. The office is very bright and clean. Isabella was so kind and personable. She has such a pleasant personality. Dr. Weaver came in and did a quick consult. They did not waste any time, but were still very thorough. I was very pleased with the service and care I received today.

I took my 2 year old son to the dentist on Thursday and the experience with the dentist was less than par. I was very offended by him because he was very short with me and condescending in the way that he spoke to me. He just assumed that I let my 2 year old brush his own teeth and proceeded to tell me that a two year old does not have the arm and wrist strength and coordination to brush their own teeth. Um, duh, I already know that as that is common sense. And in fact, I never let my two year old brush his own teeth, my husband and I both brush our son's teeth twice a day! This dentist lacked any empathy or compassion that is usually exhibited in healthcare providers, I mean he did not act like a dentist nor talk to me like one. He did not even offer any dental advise or at home tips for our toddler's dental care, instead he just criticized and outright accused me of not brushing my son's teeth at all!! It was obvious that he did not care about his patient and he was very rude. At least the hygienist was wonderful and very polite and she was very understanding to the fact that it is challenging sometimes to brush a 2 year old's teeth. My baby boy does not always like it when I have to brush his teeth and he often puts up a fight, but I do it anyway because I want him to have healthy teeth and gums. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place nor will I be returning. I think Smith Dental Care needs to maybe invest in dentists who possess people skills and know a thing or two about bedside manners!!!

They have been really nice, and have really worked with me on what I want done, and with my insurance. They are very professional, and I highly recommend them. Also during this time of uncertainty with covid they have worked with CDC compliance, so I have felt safe..

I went to smith dental Friday October 16 to get a cleaning. All was good and I was told I need a filling in one of my teeth. The financial lady came in and was very nice along with everyone else I encountered, and said they already ran my insurance and the procedure would be $39.99 with insurance. I came back today October 19 and before they started the procedure a new financial person came in and said it would be $430 because I don’t have insurance (mind you I do have insurance, just two day prior they ran it). SOME of the people there have no idea what they are doing. How can you go from being $39.99 to $430 for a tooth to get a filling? The one silver lining is the doctor’s assistant who did the paperwork was very nice I forgot his name but he showed genuine care and concern for my issues unlike the financial person. To be fair I probably won’t stop coming here but I am very turned off by the whole experience. If you quote someone a price you should stick to it and not change the story. If something like this happens again then definitely I’m finding a new dentist.

Smith Dental is highly recommended!!! 5 stars for 5 star services. They care and prove great care. Best ever dentist. I have recommended several people. You wont be disappointed. Also, their hours are so flexible with your schedule!!!
