The only reason I gave 2 stars at all is because the hygienists are awesome. However, if you need anything more involved than a cleaning, I would not recommend SDA.nnReasons:n1. The front desk lady is very difficult to work with. She makes you contact insurance for her and doesn't listen to your explanation of the situation. When I switched to my new dentist, they had to speak with her 3 times (and once myself) to explain that when they wanted my X rays sent over, that they wanted all the X-rays. Seems like common sense. Frankly, I think it was just laziness.nn2. I was told I was seeing a dentist with experience with TMJ. I paid for a splint that never worked (I have had multiple splints before and loved them, I just needed a new one. I went back to have this one adjusted multiple times), which cost $1000! My other splints cost about $500. When I told the dentist that I needed something different, he just kept referring me to the desk employees who never got back to me about setting up an appointment for a new splint, even though I contacted them three times.nn3. Probably the worst is that when they did my side X-rays, the took 7 captures of the same image! When they submitted to Delta insurance, they were paid for a pan x ray because 7 images are never required for a single shot, let alone the unnecessary radiation exposure. Basically, they were paid for something they didn't do. Now I can't get an actual pan image covered because Delta only covers 1 pan per 3 years, so I have to pay again for something that I never got done. How is it that the dentist is trained in TMJ, but managed to make a splint without ever looking at an Xray of the joint? It's completely asinine.nnI loved the hygienists. They did quality work, were friendly and intelligent. Nevertheless, if you need any actual dental procedures, take your business somewhere else.
