Compassus

We personally knew a doctor who worked with Compassus, and so we were able to get a little more help than normal, but if you don't have this, I cannot in good conscience recommend this company. There were a couple of excellent nurses and aids (Morgan and Jodie; I gave 2 stars because of them) but the company itself was a disaster. Initially they failed to deliver equipment that I told them beforehand we needed and they assured me would be delivered. It then took over a week to get them to do anything about this. Meanwhile, several days passed before anyone came to the house, they failed to deliver vital medication that the hospital doctor had prescribed, and the first nurse that came was dismissive, rude, and ill-informed, giving us completely false information. We never heard from a doctor, chaplain, or anyone else (besides the workers aforementioned) unless we badgered them endlessly-all this while your loved one is dying. Needless to say, the company seems to have a couple of great employees but in general, they came off as only interested in collecting the insurance payment and basically leaving you to handle the care yourself; a waste of money and time. The first consult I had with them, the doctor told me 'you don't get a second chance at hospice.' And they blew that chance terribly. Look elsewhere.
