This is a fantastic place to visit! Our girls had so much fun making their own ropes and corn cob dolls. The staff is wonderful - they were so friendly and engaging in the visitor center and at the different hands-on activities. I highly recommend this to any Laura Ingalls Wilder fan! Plus, there is history about different types of barbed wire and farm machinery for anyone thinking they aren't enough of a fan to warrant a visit.

We stayed for three days at their campground. It is all family owned and run. Everyone was friendly and helpful. My wife was a huge fan of the Little House books, so she was overjoyed to be here. The campsites (water and electric) were level and well maintained. It was a blast just to BE there.

Free! The area is spacious so bring your neighbors kids also. All of the building are accessible. Visit during the winter to get a different perspective.

Amazing. Family of 4 loved everything about it. The covered wagon on the prairie was a really cool experience for everyone. The customer service could not have been better. Also, who doesn't love kittens?

We took our 3 girls here last week. It was perfect! Everything is hands on which my girls LOVED (usually places like this don't let you touch anything)! We camped in a large covered wagon for one night.... This was a dream come true for my 3 girls! I wish there would have been something like this when I was young. Honestly, if you like Laura Ingalls Wilder books this is a must stop for you and your kids!
