As a frequent visitor of courthouses (for work purposes), the Dewey County Courthouse s always clean and quite. The staff of the County Clerk's office is always nice and available to help out.

Courthouse is clean and updated. Honestly the women in the county clerks office were very rude and acted as though they were put out. I know it can get overwhelming having landmen in and out but we do bring a lot of money into the comuntity so it would be advantageous to at least be helpful. Actually called and offered to pay to have a single page either emailed or faxed to me because I live 4 hours away and was desperate. The women who answered the phone said “ too bad , that’s not my job to email you something you forgot” And hung up... while yes she is correct she didn’t have to be rude. On the few occasions that I’ve had similar circumstances And explained my situation other county clerk employees went above and beyond and i always send the people in the office 50.00 gift cards plus sending a check for any debt I owe for what they sent .... I just don’t understand the “not my job mantality these days ... oh well they missed out on a nice thank you gift from my office
