Only a few miles away from where I deer and turkey hunt.....would be nice to have the chance to shoot a BIG BULL ELK if one comes my way. Saw lots of deer while driving through and beautiful scenery!
4 stars only bcuz I've not fully experienced this place. But area around it is stunning. Going soon though!!!
Great walk with the family and a excellent location to spot some fossils
Nice trails and drive through nature. The roads were rough in some places getting to the preserve with water running over in several spots. The roads on the preserve were good with a few rocky sections. The trail around Elk Island was submerged but we still had a good walk. It was very peaceful and we were the only ones around for miles. The deer were running everywhere on both sides of the road and every few hundred yards.
Very large preserve returning to native structure.
