The campgrounds are very nice, well maintained and most spots are fairly spacious. A bit disappointed in the island trails. The main loops are great, but did not expect the loops to the ruins to be mere foot paths. We had planned time to bike the islands trails so did not have time to hike the longer trails to the ruins. Overall, we really enjoyed our 4 day stay here, arrived Sunday and left Thursday. Looks like it really fills up on the weekends.

Tress are shade is sparce. Ranger recommendation was poor for someone not familiar with the area. Quite on a Tuesday, nice.
