If you are hoping to see dozens of Sandhill Cranes at the Mississippi Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge, the only one you will probably see is that one painted at the sign's entrance. Trails are great, and it is a peaceful preserve to walk and have a nice quiet moment. But don't expect to see Sandhill Cranes anywhere here. I've seen more on the streets of Orlando. They have a small exhibition about the Sandhill Cranes when you can lear a little more about these birds. But I have to say I was king of bummed when I found out that they are actually very hard to see on this place.
