Pretty place to go and had a nice picnic shelter. Butttttt my son got stung on the neck by something and the vault toilet is disgusting. Looks as if they have never cleaned it with spiderwebs even on the toilet. The road is a bit rough as well. Not clearly marked.
Pretty place, easy to access, cheap and worked in a pinch. No showers as advertised, restrooms are primitive, pavilions are available without electricity. I would stay there again if ever in the area.
Burke Lake is a wonderful place to go, whether you want to enjoy nature or fish, or just have some quiet time. It is very clean and peaceful. The only down side is the blacktop road is not the best, but it is definitely worth the drive. We usually enjoy a picnic lunch of fried chicken and a pop on our way home from shopping.. We have great family memories here and plan to make more.
Very pretty lake area
Very primitive. Saw a couple of deer, otherwise very quiet. Would be a nice tenting spot.
