Very unique example of architecture of the period. The house is free. There is a book you can carry around the house that gives snippets of information. I forgot how many room were in the house 20+, every fireplace was different and there was a fireplace in each room. The staff there did not seem to know much about the house. She may have been doing it for work study credit. Parking is on the street. Reasonable 25 cents per 1/2 hour. Thats all you will need. The house is in the middle of the surrounding college campus. I had to ask directions twice. Outside is a nice shaded fish pond or the back of the house has a patio and tables.

An interesting mansion with many artistic features including interesting hand carved wood working and tile mosaic featuring many interesting articles from the 1850s to 1900snnSamuel cupples had made his fortune by selling wood furniture and later on selling a wide variety of general every-day use itemsnnSamuel cupples had a fondness for glass sculptures and many more had been donated to their collection that is on display at the housennThe self-guided tour is free

Wow! Found this place looking for a historic house to visit and it didn't disappoint. Park in the parking garage towards the side and walk straight into campus and it's only about 5 mins. Gorgeous stained glass and collectables in this three story home. Worth the visit especially around the Holidays

It's free, and it is very nice. They give you a packet when you get there to do a self-guided tour. Took away one star because they started turning lights out on us 20 minutes before their posted closing time.
