This place no longer exists. It is closed due to Covid and also, they moved the content to the Gateway Arch museum. I was really looking forward to the Lewis and Clark content, but that has been toned down and made more focused on St Louis being the hub of westward expansion. Also, I carry a pocket knife and pepper spray ( have a CCW but don't carry) and they wouldn't allow that at the Gateway Arch Museum. They said they can throw my stuff away or I can put it in my car, a mile away ($100 of stuff in the garbage, no thanks). The terrorists have won lol. What a pain. They should offer a storage option, charge $5 for a locker or something.

This is a great free exhibit. But the most interesting thing is the building itself. Museum at the Arch has the same information better presented.

Lots to see here, beautiful museum, the rotunda is gorgeous. Some videos and lots of information about Dred Scott and his wife and their fight for freedom.
Similar place
