MedStar Health Physical Therapy at Ellicott City

My experience with MedStar Health Physical Therapy in Ellicott City was excellent. The staff were exceptional in applying their knowledge of general knee replacement therapy to my specific situation which was a little different. I needed to work with two different therapists due to scheduling conflicts on my part and I was very grateful to find the therapy very closely aligned and coordinated. Both were well informed of my status by the other and there were no wasted sessions. From the greeting by the staff when you first arrive to the actual therapy, the work and the environment are of the highest quality.

Started PT at MedStar Health Physical Therapy at Ellicott City for a multitude of lumbar spine issues revealed on MRI. While the issues are not all new, many have gotten a lot worse. I have to say this is the first time I have felt confident about going to PT and the first time I've felt hopeful that I will get good care. Everyone is professional, the room is spotless and well attended to..which as a nurse is very important to me. The therapist I am seeing is Sharon and I have complete trust in her knowledge and skills.

MedStar Physical Therapy is what all physical therapy places should strive to be like. They are clean and follow COVID precautions to a tee. But what really puts them ahead of other places is the staff and I don't mean just one person I mean everyone. The front desk is staffed with some of the nicest and most helpful people ever. They always smile and greet everyone when they come in. All the physical therapists are knowledgeable, kind, and understanding. They read the reports and take the time to get to know each patient and really are invested in the recover of each person who walks through the door. They truly want to help all patients recover and not just recover but leave better then before! I enjoy every session and am so grateful for all the help they have provided me with. When I walked in the door the first time I was a broken disaster and didn't even know if I could function to do what they needed me to do. They were patient and understanding and in the short 2 months I've been going I feel great! I would tell everyone I know to go to MedStar and I am forever grateful for what they have helped me accomplish and the kindness and empathy they have showed me. I have been mainly seeing Kristin and Sharon, both incredible awesome, kind, patient, and knowledgeable but I listen to the other physical therapists and they are all great! Truly PT has been so enjoyable and during this stressful pandemic I am so grateful to not have to worry about this and almost consider going to PT an escape from the real world!!!

I am very pleased with my experience at MedStar physical therapy in Ellicott City. I was able to get an appointment in a short period of time and schedule appointments for a month. Changing appointments is simple. My two therapists have met my needs well!

Hands down, best PT hands around! Physical therapy here isn’t just a canned rehab. These folks not only read your reports and follow current protocols, they really listen to you, take extra time to understand your goals and limitations. In fact, it’s sifting thru all that minutia we give them to get to core issues. It’s having acute, trained sense of touch...and with that making the patient comfortable at the same! The kindly and compassionate concern starts when you come through the door with the admin group and all the PT techs too! Highly recommend!
