I call into the 8am service because I am not a Facebook user and cannot view the service live. I am able to see the service posted to You Tube. While I miss attending the church in person, I am thoroughly enjoying the telephone service and the service on You Tube. The service is well organized, the support staff are great, and Pastor Turner is an outstanding preacher. I imagine it must be hard to speak to a camera rather than a live audience,but the St John staff has adapted well to these difficult challenges due to the pandemic.

When I first moved to Howard Co. I new that I had to find a Church to call Home. I heard good things about St. John Baptist Church but I thought with such a large Church the Pastor/Pastors wouldn't have time for their congregation and would be untouchable. Oh My! Yea of such little faith, God whispered. It was the complete opposite. After every service Pastor Rev. Robert F. Turner, CoPastor Rev. Olstein Truitt and Youth Minister Rev. Ricky Harvey Jr. make their way to the doors while giving hugs and kisses to personally greet each and every person who need an extra word and touch from the Men and Woman God has placed to over their lives. I know this is long but I could go on even longer. I can't forget the tireless efforts of work that's put into the many Ministries that give SJBC a feeling that You Are Welcome In This Place. Come see for yourself you won't be disappointed or check out the virtual services on Facebook 8:00am, 10:15am and 12:00pm

I go to St. Johns Baptist Church on Thursday mornings for Bible Study Fellowship which is held there.nIt appears to be a wonderful place however, I know nothing about it and what is like as a church because I attend another Church.

On our 1st visit with my son at the noon service, we were welcomed with friendly smiles.nAwesome service by Pastor Turner.nAlso the end of service last aisle, pastor was giving out hugs! Wow. Such a good send off on Sunday ud83dude0dud83dudc4fud83dudc96

A wonderful place of fellowship with a lot of options for worship: three services, a conservative formal early service, midmorning, and casual noon service with band. This church also has fellowship luncheon and a lot of activities to get involved with. Parking is adequate and managed by chuch officials. After a warm welcome, and a lovely service I had already made up my mind- I’ll be back!
