Historic Ellicott City Inc.

Mardi Gras on Main Street in Old Ellicott City last Saturday. A merchants got together and gave out Mardi Gras beads and other trinkets. Mardi Gras was early because it is in such close proximity to Valentine's Day this year. This was the table set up by St Peter's Episcopal Church which gave out Mardi Gras beads, and Church keys that were bottle openers.

Very quaint, sweet Old Town. Wonderful little surprises in the alleys and side roads. Parking is OK, free. Oldest train station in the USA with nice museum. Free admission, great little gift shop. Children would love this place, get to climb on ladders in Caboose!

I have been coming here since the late 80s. This last visit was great. We did a hike up to (Hellhouse) and then ate lunch in town. We also did a little perusing in the shops. Glad I am getting to see it before the upcoming changes.

Lots of stores are empty or closed on a Saturday. The ones that are open are fun to shop in.

Beautiful city, lovely shops. Definitely go down to Old EC when you get a chance
