A bit pricey but definitely worth it for the views and vibe. Food is good overall, but reason for 4 stars is the Oyster shucking quality varies from time to time. At close to $4 a piece, we expect it to be clean and shucked without any pieces of shell falling into the Oyster meat at all. Last 5 or so visits 2 times we had to spit out little pieces of shell when slurping the oysters. Encourage staff to take the time to shuck with care even when busy. No one likes crunchy oysters.

The bar was really nice. All the male employees were super friendly and helpful. One female bartender and another waitress were not very friendly. The man who I believe may have been the manager was very nice and accommodating. The food and drinks were DELICIOUS!

Disgusted! We had a reservation for 9:15pm on Saturday, however arrived early (8:45pm). Where do I start? Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy our time there because the restaurant took an hour bringing our entree’s out. Another reservation (of another race) was seated AFTER us and received their drinks and entree’s before us. My husband spoke to the manager, and he offered us “Free” drinks, stating “We didn’t expect to be this busy”— I expressed that I wasn’t interested in drinks and somehow the waitress STILL brings us drinks (which we declined again). It was going on 10:00pm with no plate in sight. By 10:15pm our food arrives and to say the least we were very unimpressed. Our waitress showed no sign of compassion or sympathy. In result, we boxed our food and desert. Honestly, I would’ve left if it wasn’t for my husband taking initiative for Valentine’s Day date night. Ultimately, we felt disregarded by this restaurant and staff. Also, after doing research and speaking with peers this seems to be an ongoing experience for Black people. Tasteless and not worth it! Go upstairs and enjoy yourself at Bygone.

The food was DELICIOUS! I have a new restaurant to add to my favorites list! The crab grilled cheese was so good. The Frosé was a bar favorite. My boyfriend had the crab shrimp and fried oyster club sandwich. It was HUGE! I will definitely return to this place!

The hostess was very rude and barely spoke to us, which left us with a bad first impression. It took forever after we sat down for the waitress to greet us and take our order (drinks and apps to start). Took forever to get our appetizers, which we got before our drinks (??) Crab dip wasn’t that good, I was constantly biting into a crab shell/skin and having to spit it back out. We left shortly after our appetizers and went to Bygone next door instead, whose service was so much better.nThe only reason I left two stars instead of one was the ambience. They do have a nice patio outside.
