I wanted to send my Mother some flowers and a box of chocolates for her birthday. I chose Pine Florist because they offered delivery and had good reviews. After I place the order I Received this response.nnWe received your order but unfortunately at this time we are not delivering to residential/businesses due to the rising numbers of COVID-19nSent from my iPhonennFirst of all, deliveries are exactly how every other business is handling Covid-19 so that was confusing. The person sending the email from her phone (Amy Cromer) did not even have the courtesy to sign the email or address me.nnI agreed to have a relative pick up the order and was expecting the delivery fee to be taken off my bill. When my sister arrived to pick up my order, the arrangement was totally different than what I had ordered and my sister said it was unacceptable. The florist stated I had checked the box for similar flowers/style if what was in the pictures were Unavailable. This is what I checked;nnSubstitution Policy:nOccasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another colornnI asked for a blue vase. It was clear. I asked for blue and white flowers. They were pink.nnSo they worked to put an arrangement Together that was more to our original picture. Turns out she did have a blue vase and some blue and white flowers. Not exactly what I had asked for. The arrangement was very tall with spots where stems were showing. Not the freshest flowers.nnMy sister was disappointed but thanked her and left. I saw the flowers. They weren’t pretty and I could have made a better arrangement. Turns out there was a funeral. I understand those things happen but she didn’t call me and cancel the order. She also didn’t have the candy I ordered and told my sister she had emailed me that but I never received an email about her not having candy. Plus.. how hard would it be to go to the store and pick up some chocolates? So my sister expected that to be removed from the bill. It wasn’t. I called the florist and expressed my disappointment and asked about the charges. She told me my sister agreed to more expensive flowers. She did not. She said she was never told the flowers were more expensive and if they were.. shame on the florist. They were ugly. Especially after all I’ve told you about.nnThe florist did say I could return the flowers for a refund but accused me of just wanting to use her flowers for an event and then return them for my money back. She hung up on me.nnI am not returning the flowers because this has gotten out of hand and I just don’t want to fight with the woman anymore but you tell me... how is the charge the exact same for more expensive flowers as a delivery fee and chocolates. Given what she put us through I would have expected an apology instead of being hung up on and disrespected.nnPine Florist has lost our families business.
