The father of Martin Luther King Jr was born and raised in Stockbridge. He is honoured with a short heritage trail which follows the old railroad tracks through the centre of the city.nnHe regularly attended services at Floyd Chapel Baptist Church, which was recognised as a safe place for African-Americans to worship going back to the late nineteenth century.nnOnce ordained, King Sr also gave his first sermon at Floyd Chapel, before moving to the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.nnA commemorative plaque on the exterior wall of Stockbridge City Hall details the legacy of the King family here

I love how your pastor preaches the word of God. Very easy to understand and not boring. The Choir and the pastor sings beautifully.. Come check out a real man of God.

Every Sunday I have an amazing experience at this church, my favorite part is hearing the word of God from the amazing pastor, Pastor Edward C. Cochran Sr. From what I have seen, all ministries are hard-working and dedicated to serving the true and living God.
