City of Winter Haven- City Hall

I when to visit my congressional memeber Florida House of Representatives member Darren Soto who has an office amongst the Winter Haven City Hall building. My visit did not go well.nnFor anyone that has visited the Winter Haven office of Rep.Darren Soto you know that you have to speak to the city receptionist to have her buzz his office that a visitor is here to speak with one of his staffers. Well i did just this and upon doing so had a city employee come out as if he were a staffer.nnI had not been aware that the day of my visit to the Winter Haven office of Representative Darren Soto that his office was closed, so when the city employee came out i had the impression he was a staffer. He failed to address the fact that he was a city employee before i mentioned that i was there to complete a privacy consent form to have the office of Darren Soto work on a Social Security disability claim for me. It wa nkt until after i stated this that he mentioned that he in fact was a city employee and that the staffers of Representative Soto were not present.nnI immediately became enraged and explained to him that he violated my rights and that there would be action taken because he fooled me into believing he was a congressional staffer of whom i could entrust private information with. As a professional he stated he had been unaware that anything wrong had been done and i am sure that as a city employee nothing will happen to him as a result of this incident. Im sure that i may never be able to visit the Winter Haven office of Rep. Soto and feel comfortable with releasing my information.

I have an issue with the distribution of Christmas lights/ornaments on the light poles in the city of Winter Haven. I notice that there is only one (lonely) Christmas light ornament on the stretch of First Street NE between Lk. Silver Drive and MLK Blvd. I was so embarrassed in front of my out-of-town friends that I told them that the city had not finished putting up lights. (>_
