Michael Davis, DO

After dealing with a few different pediatricians, Dr. Davis is by far the best! Our baby came down with RSV at 10 days old, hospitalized twice! Dr. Davis has been with us through most of it. He’s knowledgeable, always takes the time to answer questions and explain everything. The staff is great too, they made sure we were seen the same morning my baby had woken with a fever. I trust Dr. Davis and his medical staff completely

I first took my son to Dr. Davis when he was a month old and I really liked him. He was very kind and great with him and also interacted well with my older daughter. However the staff was pretty short and borderline rude. Then fast forward two years I took my youngest daughter to her one month check-up. Again Dr was very kind and interacted well with my other kids. However, I did feel as if he didn't want to really listen to some of my concerns and seemed a little rushed. Also, the signs in the office are really rude toned. My husband jokes that he must not be confrontational so he puts up rude signs to avoid upsetting people face to face. Staff wasn't great again. Today, made me write a review. I waited for 45 minutes for him to refuse to even see my daughter for her two month check-up. He just sent in his rude assistant to tell us he would not see us after I told her I would not be vaccinating today. I said I wanted to delay them if anything. She just hands me a sheet with a doctor that will delay vaccines. Just rude. If vaccines work, what's the worry? He could have at least seen her this time since we were there and then asked us to further continue care elsewhere. At least this time the receptionist was sweet.nnUpdate 6 months later: he still takes my aunt and my best friend who both either do not vaccinate or delay vaccines for their children and since they are both white I'm thinking maybe it's a racial issue.

Switching doctors.nFirstly I’d like to say that Doctor Davis is very nice, he is personable and he interacted well with my son however I’ve learned that I can’t trust him or his office when it comes to serious situations.nnI initially brought my son into Dr. Davis on 05/21/2020 about an irritated eye, which my son was prescribed Amoxicillin for. The next day I had brought my son back to Dr. Davis office after noticing he had multiple bumps on face, hand and wrist that were red and swollen. During that visit I was advised to give my son topical Bendyrl for the bumps and to continue giving him Amoxicillin.nnOn 05/25/2020 I called Dr. Davis office after noticing over the weekend that my son developed additional swollen, warm bumps on his legs. I was advised to give it a couple of days before reaching back out but to continue the Amoxicillin. So 8 days in, 16 doses of Amoxicillin later and no end in sight of swelling going down I decided to bring my son to the ER at Advent Health Daytona (05/28/2020). I was advised by Dr. Ivan Menezes that my son is having an allergic reaction to the prescribed Amoxicillin and to immediately stop giving it to him.nnLater that day I advised Dr. Davis office of the aforementioned event with questions and concerns and to set up a follow up apportionment per Dr. Menezes request and was told by the receptionist that they would pass the information along to Dr. Davis and I would be reached back out to.nnI have sent out NUMEROUS emails and have called and still have yet to hear back from anyone which leads me to believe that my sons possible life threatening reaction or my questions&concerns are not a priority and I am deeply disappointed and will not continue to use this office or recommend anyone bring there children here.

Dr. Davis is friendly and knowledgeable. He makes eveey visit a positive experience. My son has needed 2 sick visits and he was always seen that same day. We love it there.
