Update:nnBaptist Medical Center administration contacted me, apologized for the treatment rendered by their Neptune Beach office and have found another BMC location for me. The team work of several administration staff and the office manager of the Beach Blvd. location has demonstrated to me that the treatment received by the NB office doesn’t seem reflective of the rest of BMC.nnI had my first appointment today. It was scheduled several weeks ago. I arrived 5 minutes after the scheduled time, I was told the “doctors are very strict” and that I would have to reschedule. I will be finding another doctor.

My first visit was a great experience, had my second visit and I got billed an outrageous amount that I was not notified about until almost a month later and I have been calling the Office and have been getting put on hold ud83dude0f

I absolutely love Dr. Applewhite I normally hop from dr to dr because I hate drs but I have been with dr Applewhite for about 3 years now she is very pleasant and will do her best to help if she can’t she will guide you in the right direction. She listens very tentatively and does not rush you. My husband loves her and never likes going to the dr but I can get him tonGo see her every year without hesitation. She makes you feel like family. I am very hesitant to see anyone else especially if she has a replace I will wait. I started at her north side location and located to the beach it is a drive for me but I don’t mind I know I am in good hands. I especially loves the way she follows up after hospital visit or other care within baptist network that I am or may have received. The best dr I have ever had in my entire 25 years of living.

I have not been here but i sent my husband and she asked him why did he come so far and he said my wife sent me cause she finds the best doctors then he said she ask well what do you want to do about your sugar. Someone told me this doctor was good but I would not ask any patient if i was a doctor why they came so far and they can go to a primary care in there area and what do you want to do about your sugar. You should be offering solutions and making them feel welcome. Men already dont want to come to the doctor as it is but you about to run them slap away from healthcare. I have an appointment but i will be cancelling it and finding someone that cares more about health versus why my husband came so far out to your facility. If someone comes from Missouri to Florida and makes it to Neptune beach you should be priding yourself someone came that far for your help. That shows you are a excellent doctor. I guess I chose the wrong doctor listening to someone else.

Saw Dr. Applewhite for the first time last week and she was delightful! She made me feel very comfortable and seemed genuinely interested in helping me. I'm happy to say that I will be switching my primary care to come see her.
