I visit this park almost daily. The walk from the Beaufort entrance to lesser bridge is two miles, making a great 4-mile round trip excursion. It's also a wonderful place to play with the dog off season. Just be sure to pick up the dog waste- its one of the largest pollutants in the Chesapeake Bay. Waste bags are conveniently located at all beach entrances.

I come here to fish under the bridge but I never catch any keepers..Red puppy drums, skates, round head..come early due to Limited parking... park on the side street gravel..(10 parking spots total)
