Hughes Painting

My wife and I first hired Hughes painting this past summer to paint the exterior of our house. Some of the exterior wood had rot, so it was necessary for Hughes Painting to do some exterior carpentry repair, then finish the painting. This project was accomplished beautifully. The carpentry work was excellent. The painters were meticulous, polite and on time. Their clean-up was thorough.nnWe were so pleased with the outcome that we called Hughes Painting back to tackle an interior room. The drywall in this room needed major repair due to loose joint tape (40 year old house) and residual glue from long past wall paper which was not properly removed. Mr. Hughes’ estimate was half of the amount quoted by a competitor so I hired Hughes Painting for this project.nnMr. Hughes sent 2 of his employees, Andy and Antonio to tackle our project. They did a GREAT job. Andy and Antonio were punctual, polite, efficient and clean. They were very receptive to our requests for particular aspects of the job. After repairing the walls, they painted the walls, ceiling, trim and doors. Andy meticulously cleaned the old, dried paint off of the door hardware. They finished the job in 4 days, even with our cold, damp weather which slowed the drying time for the mud and the paint. Mr. Hughes was timely in starting this project and always responsive to our questions both before the project began and while the project was underway. Our room looks brand new!nnWe will definitely hire Hughes Painting when we are ready to paint the rest of the interior of our home.

Really great experience with Hughes painting. They came from a recommendation, gave a detailed estimate, and then showed up on time and quickly repainted most of the interior of our house. Very polite and did an outstanding job.

I called Hughes Painting and set up an appointment for an estimate to have our three story home exterior painted. I was sent reminders both to my email and phone. John arrived on time. He was both professional and personable. John was knowledgeable with our home’s exterior finish, EIFS, and what it required for prepping and painting. John and his crew arrived on time to clean and prep our home which consists of 3 stories, 3 balconies and a full rooftop deck. They were very efficient and tidy. A few days later, with weather permitting, John’s painting crew arrived on time to start painting. The job was completed in a couple day. The crew always arrived on time, were professional, courteous, extremely tidy, knowledgeable, and personable. I will not hesitate to use their service again and highly recommend them!

We first used Hughes Painting to paint half of the interior of our home and they were fast, efficient, meticulous and did an excellent job. They made sure all was as we liked it before they called it complete. They did so well we asked them back to do the exterior of our house and they did an excellent job again. They may not be the cheapest in town or sometimes the easiest to get hold of, but the quality of the work is excellent. I would use them again if I had something left to paint.
