It may appear like a medieval building from the outside with a fort like landscape, but inside everywhere spells elegance. We were able to sneak into the lobby and immediately embraced by its peaceful austerity. Lights were perfectly dimmed in the backdrop of luxurious tapestries and conspicuous flooring. Quality furnishings symmetrically placed to meet the critical eyes. Air smelled of flowers. Decorum overall has classical style. The veranda was magical with seabreeze harmonizing in perfect subtlety of relaxation and excitement. We happen to be there on a perfect 70 degree weather. I love it. The pool is so inviting but tames a wild spirit. Both me and my 13 yr old daughter admired the passion that was put into the building. I wonder if they may run a special for us first responders and family? So, I may add 1 more star?
My boyfriend and I had dinner at Becca for our anniversary the doorman Robert was the most amazing person I’ve ever met. We asked him if he would mind taking a picture of us while we waited for valet and he took so many pictures of us inside and went out of his way to make sure we had a 5 star experience. He even gave us a small tour. Robert made our experience at the cavalier one I will never forget. Thank you Robert for your 5 star customer service!
Was the hotel pretty? Yea, above averagenDid it offer me anything other than looking pretty? No!nWould I stay here again? No!nI’ve stayed in MANY luxury hotels both inside and outside of the United States and I never felt like my money was wasted like here.nThey charged over $400 a night for hotel (including taxes and resort fee) another $35 per night for rolling bed (yes they do charge for that too) and another $24 a day for parking (which I found out about it once I checked out and not before) So did I enjoy my stay like I did in any other $500 a night hotels? Absolutely not.nEverything in this hotel was overpriced for no reason. Even a snack was not offered complimentary and it had NOTHING to offer. Overall so disappointingnnEdit: taking another star off. After checking my invoice I noticed they charged me for a beverage (?) that I did not touch from the room. Called them and got refunded but this was beyond ridiculous.
From the moment we entered the hotel, we felt exceedingly comfortable and welcomed. The hotel itself is full of interesting history told to us first by the awesome doorman, Robert! Robert was courteous, professional and a great asset to the hotel. He had so many interesting facts for us and told us to try the Bourbon Creme down at the distillery as well as the Hunt Room and Ladies Night. The Bourbon Creme surely did not disappoint during our tour and tasting. We loved the Hunt Room (such a great place for Happy Hour) and did indeed attend Ladies Night with champagne and more. We look forward to booking a long stay here and revisiting the lovely grounds and spaces again. We loved it!
If you want to feel like royalty, this is your home away from home. The manager greeted us at the door! How often does that happen? He personally grabbed our bags and helped us secure a dinner reservation.nnWe were upgraded to a beautiful suite with a claw foot tub. The grounds were gorgeous. The meal was amazing and they do covid the way every business should. Never once did I see a mask under the nose.nnThank you Cavalier hotel for the amazing night. We'll be back!
