This place is great! We've been back year after year and it's always a great time!
I had my wedding at the Shenandoah River Lodge and it was absolutely perfect. It is a hidden gem in the Shenandoah Valley. The property is gorgeous, surrounded by the mountains, Shenandoah River, and beautiful fields and woods. All of the guests complimented on how beautiful the property was. Doug and his family were very nice and helpful throughout the entire process. I couldn’t imagine having my special day anywhere else.nnI would highly recommend this lodge as a venue for weddings or for a relaxing get away. You won't be disappointed!
The house was very nice, the property was gorgeous and we had ample space. The bridge to the location was intimidating but we became more comfortable with the drive over each time we passed. We comfortably slept 11 people with more room on couches. The only downside side was the lack of cell phone reception when trying to coordinate with guests off property. There is no internet at the lodge for trying to work remotely, but that was also nice to be disconnected with the beautiful views!
