I had a breakdown in 2011 and that happened to be the closest spot to get it fixed. The owner tried telling me that my Neon is designed to last only 40,000 miles or so (!!), and that I needed a new motor. I was naive enough at the time to believe him.nnA few days later, I come to pick the vehicle up. The owner refuses to accept anything but cash (and $1800 of it, despite having a Visa/MC sign on his door and a card reader). He told me that I could pick the car up only when I had the cash. Needless to say, when he went home and left some kid in charge, I simply took the keys and drove off, leaving a check for the amount agreed upon.nnNot long after, I was approached by someone who claimed that my car was towed to HIS shop, and he did $400 worth of parts and labor tofix the problem. He suggested that in the future, I go directly to him, as Strasbourg Service Center basically made $1400 to tow my car to another shop.nnWhat a thief.
