Fun trail, fairly easy hike for first few miles. Good for kids

Nice long trail that is pretty darn gentle for the first mile. While you're next to the river, be prepared to use a lot of bug spray. It's well shaded and hardly even a wisp of wind, so the bugs are EVERYWHERE. The trail is narrow and has a lot of stones and exposed roots. Depending on when you go, the stones and roots can become very slippery. There are also several small streams that crisscross all over the trail on their way down to the river. Unfortunately I can't speak much to the rest of the trail because I broke off at Corbin Mountain Trail, which is a much more challenging hike. My one caution is that if you start on the end by Old Rag Loop, get there very early. Old Rag is really popular and parking fills up extremely fast.
