Nice quiet place for a hike on a weekday
Pretty area in the Shenandoah state park highly recommend
Excellent hike. Consider hiking Piney Ridge to Piney Branch Trail.
The false are hard to get to right nownThe water is high and from the bottom you have to cross the stream about 4 or 6 times to get to the falls, so you need boots. From Skyline Drive, its easy if you walk down Piney Branch or Piney Ridge Trail, but right now (12/06/18) SD is closed because of ice. A ranger told me today that the drive may be open 12/08/18. Good luck.
A very quiet, low-traffic trail with relatively minimal steep ascents or descents.
