Lovely hike. It's a little rougher than I expected, meaning sizable rocks along the path. No issue, but wear appropriate shoes for such terrain. Great waterfall. Lots of ups and down on the 5 mile hike.
Great hike if you want wildlife activity. Spotted a bear hiking down.
I enjoy camping here, and hiking the trails. There are connected trails for I believe hundreds of miles. I camp at mathews arm campground and hike anout 5 miles round trip to a stunning mountain view and a 34' waterfall and then a 98' waterfall. It is gorgeous. But be very prepared. It is not always easy hiking. But all the trails are very well marked and maintained. I always have fun in the woods.
Beautiful place. We seen a Black Bear and her 2 cubs.
Awsome trail. It will kick your fannie if you are not used to the inclines
