A neighbor called for a domestic abuse case aswell as a general disruption during night hours to a neighboring house. Cops showed up, said the bare minimum to the concerned caller, then left without a second word. Their response time was decent but this house has been called on repeatedly for potential domestic abuse aswell as screaming and yelling during all hours of the day and night. I at least would like to see some effort to question the individuals residing in the house to hear their side of the story (whether it be the domestic violence or to try and give an excuse for the constant screaming and yelling during nighttime hours). I respect the police and generally trust their judgment, but this is neglect of a well known issue. Please get ontop of these calls Petersburg PD

I hear bad things about their police department ethics. It's a shame they are unprofessional and ruthless. Instead of protecting the community, why must the police officials cause problems in the community? Especially to genuinely good people despite their race! As a police officer, I say don't have a nasty attitude and gross conduct with a person unless you are seriously being disrespected and the person you pulled over is not cooperating... So disappointed with Petersburg police department. Do better!

We were the victims of the accident on I95 involving the jeep grand cherokee and trailer, Tuesday, 01-30-18, around 1PM. We can't thank your department for the amazing, compassion, professional, and kind service from all of your officers. Due to a good Samaritan, reporting erratic driving by the semi truck driver, before hitting us on the side of the road, an unmarked police was there immediately. We thank the good Samaritan who stopped and gave an eye witness account of the accident. Every officer who interacted with us, made us feel we were in excellent hands. Please thank all those present for their service that day.
