Nice hike. Enjoyed the views of the marsh. There were a couple of wet areas to cross. We saw several black snakes along the trail, and a bald eagle!

Found near New Kent, the Cumberland Marsh Nature Area offers a boardwalk view and a woodland trail that gives a pretty overlook of the marsh. The trail begins along a field of soybeans before ducking into the woods. The trail is easy and flat and well marked by the Nature Conservancy. 3.5 mi

Great area for wildlife and nature see alot,of fishing on their pier.

The walkway close to the parking lot overlooking the marsh was stunning. We got a little over a mile into the trail in the woods and turned back because of ticks. We were stopping about every five minutes to pull dozens of ticks off our shoes, socks, and pants. DOZENS. Do not attempt the trail, not worth it!!!!!
