We loved everything about this place. I went with my 2 daughters, I am from Lynchburg so ourntrip was extra special to me. The house is gorgeous, clean , warm and friendly. The hosts Kathy and Mike made gourmet breakfast for us both days we were there.We learned all about the history of the house and had a personal tour with great detail that was better than the one we had at Mount Vernon !nThere are rooms in the main house or in the other building in the back which has a mini kitchenette and family room area for relaxing and watching movies or tv.nI would absolutely go again and encourage you to visit ,especially if you love history, personal service and getting away from the ordinary predictable hotels or b&bs. This was an experience I will always remember. I will go again absolutely !

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Carriage House. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, breakfasts were delicious and varied, and Kathy & Mike were excellent hosts with lots of local knowledge. Spa services are also excellent.

Kudos & “Dittos”nnKudos to Kathy and Mike, the Innkeepers and renovators of this wonderful home in Lynchburg. And “ditto” to all the positive reviews that others have posted.nWhat a labor of love! Meticulously revitalized, the house is a wonder—incredible staircase, fabulous wooden moldings, beautiful period antiques.nOur room was huge, the bed fabulously comfortable (the sheets were awesome), nice sitting area, desk, and the period bathroom was lovely.nThe hosts are truly hosts, concerned about every detail without being overbearing, pleasant and delightful to talk to.nBreakfast was top-notch, fresh fruit from their garden, piping hot and tasty frittata.nWe really can’t say enough to compliment this B&B. We had a full weekend of activities and this was a welcomed respite. Our only regret was that we were only there for one night!nHighly recommended.

The Carriage House Inn is a wonderful place to stay in Lynchburg. The breakfast and accommodations were excellent. Kathy and Mike are great hosts and very knowledgeable.
