Lots of great churches in the area, for sure. Calvary Chapel’s distinctive is verse-by-verse teaching, focusing on context as well as applications for today. You will be encouraged to change without being attacked. The Spirit of the Lord is evident. It’s a great place to serve and grow!nI’ll likely be back by the soundboard if you stop in. From the first time I visited I knew this church was unlike any other that I had visited in Lynchburg and maybe even ever before in my life. Pastor Troy preaches the Word with wisdom and authority, but in a way that isn't pretentious or unattainable. The atmosphere is comfortable, and the people are kind. Reach out, get plugged in, go to a service. You'll be glad you did. This was my home for four years at the end of college and the start of my post-academic adult life. I will forever be grateful for the impact this church family has made on my life for good and for God's glory.
