This was my first time visiting a Virginia ABC and I had a very pleasant experience. It was in the final days of 2020 (good riddance) and since I wanted to pick up some Virginia wines as gifts for some of my clients and needed expert advice as to what to get, since I'm not a wine drinker myself, I was recommended to go to an ABC store. I still dy know what ABC stands for but that sure did provide some early fun entertainment for me, my wife and my mother-in-law to come up with funny words to string together ☺ufe0f!nnAs we approached the store a very polite associate wearing his face mask opened the door for us and then asked how he could help us. I explained my situation and he pointed to the stand that had the local / regional wines and then I mentioned that I actually needed his advice and experience as to what to get so he let me know exactly that which made my choice pretty simple ud83dude00! I was also told they didn't carry any Malbecs and so he and another lady directed me to the local Kroger store saying that they actually carry a surprisingly good selection of local and regional wines. So we went to Kroger next but I did get 5 of the 6 wines I wanted to get from that Virginia ABC store and thanked them for their great service. Later that day after seeing the nice selection at Kroger I did notice that for the same bottles I had purchased at ABC, as compared to Kroger, ABC had the more affordable pricing so good on them ud83dude09ud83dudc4dnnThank you Virginia ABC for your great service plus your honest, expert service. Impressed by the customer service. They hold the door for you arriving and leaving. They brought our order to the car for us. They also are very pleasant and helpful while shopping.
