Colonna Electric LLC

I'd like to leave a review about the quality of his work, but he doesn't return phone calls so we can't even get him out to our house.

These guys were subcontracted to do my third floor addition and one day I got a call from my contractor starting that Colonna Electric refuses to do any electrical work unless they upgrade all my smoke detectors to wire them in to the house electric and bring it up to code. Mike Colonna was adamant that he didn't feel comfortable doing any work on the house unless I agreed with the smoke detector upgrading siting fire concerns and liability with having his team work on the house and not address the smoke detectors Reluctantly I agreed to the upgrade which ended up costing about $250. About three weeks after the upgrade, thee smoke detector in my basement faulted causing the whole house to alarm. I contacted Mike about the issue and he informed me to disconnect the faulty detector and he would install a new one within the week. Well its been about 3 months and at least 10 phone calls that have gone unreturned. The one time he answered the phone he promised to show up that Friday to fix it. Well that was 4 Fridays ago and it is clear that they are not planning on fixing the faulty smoke detector.nnI also find it extremely ironic that they refused to work on my project citing fire hazards with the old system but refuse to fix the system after installation. If there was a fire in my house I would gladly explain to the fire Marshall how my smoke detector was uninstalled and not replaced at the direction of Colonna electric. . My family was safer with the old system as we have not had a functional fire detector in the basement for 3 months since this installation was complete. These guys make promises that they don't keep, refuse to answer the phone and I am forced to seek legal remedies on something so stupid as a $30 smoke detector. If you are looking for a reliable electrician keep looking. If these guys are being subcontracted, get a new contractor. .
