No parking at this entrance; that's just down the street at Jacob's Hill and the trails connect. Great views of the lake through the woods, and nice splashy waterfalls (not one big fall, though). Some parts of the trail are steep, and in places are right next to dropoffs with no railings. Be sure of your footing, and be prepared for mud, downed trees, and crossing small streams with no bridges.

Beautiful beech and hemlock forest, and steep track down to Spirit Falls and Long Pond. April thaw is a good time - fair weather and no bugs!

Trail head is at Jacobs Hill. Trail was icy and spikes were needed. Very pretty waterfall but not the easiest to get too.
