HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE treatment by Damien T. The receptionist and the nurse or staff prior to meeting this egotistical man was amazing but he refused me service because me and my husband were simply asking questions. He was ok at the start and then I could hear him huffing under his breath as we were talking. Anyone who asks questions should not go here because he instantly gets defensive and refuses to take you like he is offended by questions!! Will never return and actually was happy to leave because we deserve better treatment from a true professional who doesn’t get easily hurt!!

Dr. Tavares is the 3rd pain management specialist I've been too. He's also the 1st doctor that has actually tried everything to help me get my pain under control, especially since I'm so young and started seeing him as a teen, to where I can function on a normal daily basis, and also not be completely drugged up to where I can't function like a normal human being.nnMy previous pain management clinic would triple book appointments so I'd be there waiting for at least an hour after my scheduled appointment to be seen, and they would prescribe me a 7 day supply telling me to make it last 30 days, it was horrible. Even one time during a procedure when I was getting injections into the nerves in my spinal cord, I told the doctor I could feel it, and he told me I was lying. He proceeded with the procedure until I started screaming from pain, and finally numbed me more.nnI am so thankful for him, and his team! He's truly an amazing, compassionate doctor. I recommend him to everyone I know looking for a pain management clinic! He's honestly the only reason I'm staying with the insurance I am on because I don't want to lose him as my doctor. Thank you so much Dr. Tavares for all you, and your clinic have done for me and are continuing to do for me!

I’m a disabled combat veteran and have been to a number of clinics over the last decade on the mainland as well as Oahu. This clinic is one of the worst I’ve been referred to. Dr. Tavares is unprofessional, condescending and makes assumptions based on non factual information. He is young and inexperienced, which shows mainly through his biased opinion based philosophy instead of actual medical practice. Hopefully he will get better as time goes on so his patients do not suffer. He allows other people into the room without asking for permission from the patient unconcerned with patient privacy. Communication is terrible between their clinic and the VA. I was told after every visit notes were sent, for the past 5 months nothing was received. This may be to laziness, too many patients or lack of effort. I finally requested paper copies to hand deliver. I do not recommend. Office is located in the St. Francis medical building where parking can be troublesome at times and there is no vaildation. If you have a chance to go elsewhere I suggest it. Appointments never start on time. Search other reviews and his lower rated areas will reflect this review. Added a screenshot of other WebMD ratings as well.
