They are the worst post office I’ve had to deal with. They lost a retirement card with money in it, and the person never received it. I know that COVID has brought mail challenges, but they failed to adapt their inefficient process. If you hold mail—it’s hand to hand communication only. They don’t enter the address in their system to provide notification to the mail carrier that mail and packages should be on hold—setting up their carriers for failure because who can remember that? They drive me crazy.
If you have certified mail, they wont knock to see if your home. They just leave a note saying the missed you. Wish we could can their Sht service...what am I saying they dont really provide a service.
Absolutely poor service... ordered a large package and had updated addresses since with USPS and had mail forwarding all taken care of. Somehow package got to Brookings post office and had been stuck there for almost a month and when attempts were made to check into why this was only thing i got was its on its way until finally they updated tracking to say package was lost..... a 6 foot long, heavy package just disappeared into thin air..... probably mail fraud/theft going on there who knows.
Called to ask a single, quick question. After a good 20 minutes of a robot voice I gave up and am gonna avoid this place at all costs
All I wanted to do was ask a simple question and the person treated me like I was stupid. Avoid speaking these people if you can.
