We had a tremendously successful full-day float trip on the Yellowstone River in early August. Ryan was our fishing guide and he did an outstanding job! He worked his tail off to get us into good position to catch fish and did a wonderful job teaching my 13-year-old son. Ryan provided great advice and encouragement and demonstrated a strong knowledge base for fly-fishing and the aquatic ecosystem. He also exhibited proper etiquette for navigating the river. Finally, he had a genuinely positive attitude, smooth temperament and was easy to be around. My son, shockingly, completed the Yellowstone Slam (all five species). It was a special father/son day and the highlight of our vacation to Montana. Sweet wooden boat, easy trip to book and good communication with the shop. A truly remarkable experience. Thank you!

This is THE outfitter! Matson and Rick are masters at their trade! Fished with Craig, Buddy and Dan in a variety of ways/places. They are great teachers of fly fishing and anyone that goes out should absorb their knowledge! Can't say enough positive stuff about Angler's West!

I come from a family of hardcore fly fisherman, who have been fishing in this region for 30+ years, and this is where I refer visitors to the valley and friends. The owner and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable.

Peter Holman was a great guide on Armstrong Spring Creek. We caught fish (that’s hard on Armstrong), had fun, and learned stuff. ‘Nuff said.
