The place is busy in high summer and you'll probably have to park across the river, but, if you are looking for a good sand beach (by river, non-ocean standards) and a good place to swim, this is where I recommend. My friends and I spent our childhood swimming and building sand castles on the beach here. Perfect for a hot July or August day!
