Ability Innovations has a staff of highly qualified occupational therapists, physical therapists, feeding therapists, and speech therapists that use a highly effective approach to meet a child's needs to engage in their daily tasks, improve their social interactions, communication, gross and fine motor skills, speech, and functional abilities to participate in their daily life. Their play-based approach truly is an innovative therapy in disguise. For the past 2 weeks I was able to witness their amazing work and dedication to each individual child that walks into their doors. I highly recommend Ability Innovations to any parent who is concerned about the development of their child. They will work wonders for them.

We are grateful to Ability Innovations for opening their doors to us while being put on wait lists for other evaluations and help at other centers that we need for my daughter. AI welcomed us immediately with open arms and her speech therapist, Mikell, has been amazing. My daughter loves it here and it has been so great for her instead of sitting on those wait lists doing nothing to get help in the interim. Best decision we ever made was to come here!

My son has been doing speech therapy here and loves it. He looks forward to coming every week. Scheduling is very easy as they book it out and it’s the same day and time each visit. I would definitely recommend Ability Innovations!

I did observational hours at this site and absolutely loved it. I watched Nick and his staff interact with the kids in a way that genuinely helped them. It was a joy to see the laughter and happiness the kids showed every time they came. I loved seeing the true magic of therapy through play.

I am a MOT student for the University of Utah and recently completed my pediatric fieldwork with Ability Innovations. Sarah and Nick (co-owners) have created an outpatient clinic that is designed to engage the children in their interests and create interventions which build on the child’s strengths. The facility is packed with quality equipment and space for the therapists to work independently and collaboratively with one other. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with many of the staff members over my two-week placement. Rachel was a wonderful supervisor that involved me with the treatment sessions and provided me insight and education on the methods and planning of her treatment sessions. She is patient, kind, and connects with the children through her authenticity and genuine interest in their wellbeing. Rachel collaborates with other therapists and parents to help create a treatment plan that is dynamic and contextual to the unique needs of her clients. Nick is engaging and embodies the power of play to address the therapeutic needs of his clients. His leadership, support and collaboration with staff embodies a team approach to meeting the needs of their clientele. Brian’s therapeutic nature of being friendly and engaging is especially powerful when working within his specialty of feeding and sensory integration strategies. Brian has a unique ability to help clients explore foods and textures that were previously forbidden. Brian has a playful personality that is reflected in his treatment strategies. The office staff, PT and SLPs each displayed professional, quality care to all whom I observed them working. My experience at Ability Innovations was a wonderful opportunity to expand my knowledge and to see a quality outpatient clinic in action. Thanks team Ability Innovations for inspiring me in my future OT aspirations.
